The Cat Went Totally Limp When I Picked it Up.
Over the holidays we visited my sister in New York. She is a cat lover and is never without at least one in the house. “Buster” was relaxing on the couch when we arrived, and could not be bothered by the strange people invading its realm. When he finally stirred himself and strolled over to inspect us, I reached over to pet him and pick him up. The cat went totally limp! I thought I had killed it or something, but my sister explained that the breed is called Ragdoll because it is so calm and relaxed when picked up. Apparently even the Ragdoll kittens behave the same way, but it sure is different from our cat’s behavior.
