You can get your rat a perfect home by taking care of certain points. Firstly the Rat Cage should be big such that your pet can have fun in it. Additional balconies and ramps make the cage more interesting for the rats. Make sure the floor of the cage is not wired. If it is then cover it with wood or some other solid material such that it is not difficult for the rat to move on it. Galvanized or powder coat finish cages are safe and long-lasting. Drop in pans are also available t times with the cages to set up the bedding for your pet.
